![]() Jerry Jordan Finding a way to relax and be productive at the same time, provided Craftsman, Jerry “Sawdust” Jordan, the serenity he was seeking. Back in the Sixties, Jerry linked up with a local woodworker, J. R. Beall, who was making dulcimers and guitars. Jerry learned many woodworking skills in his stint at the Beall Tool Company. He also took classes in woodturning at the Wood Werks. ![]() For most of Jerry's career he was employed by the Continental Can Company in Newark, Ohio on the plastics production line. While working at CCC, Jerry, along with his son James, turned his creative instincts into a very successful Photography business. Crawling into middle age, Jerry developed serious back problems requiring strong pain medication. He was forced to take several months off from work. During this time he began using a scroll saw he had purchased for his wife Linda. Jerry became so absorbed in the art of woodworking that he was able to relax enough to deal with the pain and return to the factory. His nickname “Sawdust” came about when he would leave his shop at home for the factory. Fellow workers teased him about having to clean all the sawdust off his glasses, before production could begin. Eventually the can company closed down. With the support of his loving wife, Linda, and encouragement from friends and family, who were impressed with his woodworking skills, Jerry set up Jordan's Tree Treasures. All items are made to order and all woods are natural colors, no dyes or stains are used. His fully equipped shop has lathes, a band, scroll and table saws, along with many hand tools. Jerry keeps improving his skills and the love and support of his wife motivates him to produce the many beautiful products you will see on this website. Jerry's skills are becoming a legend in the area known as the "Land of Legends." Buyers all across the country are seeking out his tree treasures. Jerry is very proud of his Blackfoot and Cherokee Native American Heritage and it shows in his work. Please enjoy looking though this website and perhaps you, also, would like to be the proud owner of a Jordan's Tree Treasurer. 740-323-2304
